Howard Kroeger
President and CEO of Kroeger Media Inc.
The creation of the Variety/Adult Hits format dates back to 2002 when KMI President and Radio Programmer Howard Kroeger created and launched the very first Adult Hits format radio station in North America. On March 4, 2002 “99.9 BOB FM-The 80s, 90s and…Whatever”, launched in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on CFWM-FM to great success. This signaled the beginning of the one of the biggest success stories to arrive at radio’s shores in the past two decades. Today well over 16,000,000 listeners a week are tuning in to hear that eclectic mix of the best songs from the 70s right through to what today we call Variety/Adult Hits.
